For this months Focus Group ,we were challenged to do a project based on our favourite book.
I have so many that it was hard to make a decision but in the end it all came down to this lady..
(I'm not sure I am allowed to post her picture so here clink on her name to link to it)
Her series Outlander is my favorite by far! But Dragonfly in Amber is the one I fell in love with first.
So my project is based on that book.
If you'd like to read the series yourself here is the link to her webpage
and all the information you'll need along with a few snippets from each book...
trust me you'll love it!
So without further ado..
I used paper from Lilac House.
I wired and beaded a dragonfly, used plastic packaging and dragged it through some alcohol ink.
I stained the rim with green alcohol ink and added some rolled flowers.they were distressed and sprayed with some pearl mist. After cutting out the leaves I scored them and distressed them so you can see the ridges.
The picture is of my mom and aunt as little girls..mom told me to take it out and she was right it does look better now but I love that picture
.(mom is the girl in the middle Anne otherwise known as Bo on CC)
I liked how this project turned out but after handling the jar so much I had to take it all apart and now I have to clean the fingerprints off...oh well.
Thanks,I hope you enjoyed my project and if you'd like to see some more from my fellow FG members pop on over to CropChocolate and take a peek.
Be sure to pop back at the end of next week for a Design Team Hop,there will be goodies to give away and some fantastic projects to see.
I love this jar. So many great details....it's like I see something new every time I view it. Cool.
